Overview of the 2023 Toyota 4Runner
The Toyota 4Runner may look new, but it is based on a traditional truck. This makes it unique when compared to other mid-size crossovers and SUVs. The 2023 Toyota 4Runner is powered by a 4.0L V-6 engine and a five-speed automatic transmission. RWD comes standard on these vehicles, but 4WD is available. This is a rugged SUV that is ready to hit the trails.
Technology Highlights
The 2023 4Runner is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has smartphone connectivity. An 8-speaker system is standard, but a premium 15-speaker JBL system is available. There are five USB ports throughout the cabin. Toyota opted to make rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and rear-seat occupant notification standard on all 4Runner trims. These new features are in addition to Toyota Safety Sense.

Design & Styling
For 2023, Toyota has added a new Solar Octane paint color to the TRD Pro Edition 4Runner. A 40th Anniversary Special Edition is being released with stripe decals. The interior of the 2023 4Runner is comfortable and spacious. Third-row seating is optional, as is a pull-out cargo deck.
